Transfers who’s in who’s out part 4

In this next part we are going to look at who could go out in the transfer window coming up and the first player we are going to look at is Tom Cleverley. Yes he has left the club on loan at this moment but if rumours are to be believed then we could see a fee agreed in January for the player to go across in the summer. In this we are going to look at where he could go, why it went wrong at united and how much should we accept for this player.

Let’s begin with why it went wrong at united? When first seeing Tom Cleverley play for united live against Wigan I was blown away with the range of passing he has and the accuracy of his passing which was on par with dare I say it Paul Scholes with his vision and accuracy but after he suffered an injury he never seem to regain this and then started to play passes which were accurate but where always next to an opposition player which could take the ball off our player and also could not hold the ball up as well as he could which all led to what can be famously known as the most criticism a united player has ever seen in modern times and if I’m honest it was not deserved as Cleverly is a good play but not a Manchester united player and this led to a loss of confidence which in turn became a poor back up player for united. Also which did not help him as a player was the arrival of Moyes the reason for this is that he did not know how to play and get the best out of Cleverley which saw him go backwards in confidence and ability.

Where should he go? Well there are many clubs he could go to with one of them being Aston Villa which he would fit in nicely and talking to many villa fans they are impressed with the way he keeps the midfield ticking over and many say he is underrated in their midfield. But where else could he go well there are the likes of West Ham, Sunderland, QPR and West Brom.

How much should we pay accept for him? Well this has been made in to a big joke since it emerged that Villa where willing to pay 8 million which was more than what Real Madrid accepted for Xabi Alonso. But given that Cleverley is 23 and has not had his best years yet seems reasonable to me as a club would get his best years and ten plus years of his services so 8 million would seem a bargain compared to other midfielders of his age.

Here is a video of Tom Cleverley’s best bits.

West Brom vs Manchester United Review

Manchester Utd v West Brom

Well what a poor performance from our Manchester United side in the first half of that game. All I can say about it is that it reminded me of the David Moyes era where it was hoof it long and hope some one gets on to it to score. But in the second half with the addition of Fellaini the game changed. So we had more quality in midfield because Herrera did not show up today. Also I found that Mata was below average today and for a first I would have like to seen Rooney been on the pitch if he was available. Also the most worrying thing being our defence is starting make more mistakes in this match. Which done against Chelsea we will be punished for. But now to take the positive to this match and I have to say it is the determination of the team in the second half to get back on level terms and then try to push on for the winner. Also another positive is to see Fellaini getting confidence back with scoring a goal and playing some decent passes together. So lets get on to the player ratings.

De Gea: 6

Did not do much in this game and can not be at fault for the two goals that went in as he did every thing he could of done to prevent them going in.

Rafael: 6

Did well in the going forward but can be at fault for the second goal as he did not track the run back as good as he can do .

Jones: 5

Had a poor game made a lot of wrong decisions in trying to keep the ball for the team. But did do well in set pieces and clearing danger.

Rojo: 4

Was poor for majority of the game and did poor in a one on ones with some of the West Brom players and made poor decision making in defence from him.

Shaw: 5

Was one of the players at Fault for the first goal and found he was at time to high up the pitch and did not run forward enough to support Di Maria for my liking.

Blind: 7

Blind was one of the players who did well and never seems to have a bad game. But I do have a concern that he will not be able to be good enough against the top teams or a team who presses high.

Herrera: 3

Was never in the game at all and that’s all that can be said about Herrera.

Di Maria: 7

Was at fault for the first goal was not in a goal side position for the knock down from the west brom player. But was good in his attacking responsibility with amazing crosses and good runs.

Januzaj: 6

Good going forward committing men to tackles and tracked back well to support defence.

Mata: 5

Felt Mata had a poor game by his standards and didn’t make any chances till well into the second half and did not track back as well as other players

Van Persie: 3

Very worrying that Van Persie is now having a handful of quiet games and I feel that age is now starting to effect the player that he is. Which is now probably starting to effect his confidence as a forward now. But lets just hope that this is just a bleep.

Subs: Fellaini: 8 Young: 6 Falcao: 6

My Man of the match is Fellaini. Was given a job and did it well and got a decent goal for his efforts.

West Brom vs Manchester United Preview

So thank god the international break is over because i was getting bored not watching any decent football because we all know that united is better than england. So our next opponents are West Brom who are a determined team who are defensively strong. But who are sliding back further to relegation because they do not have goals in them or the right balance to get the ball up to the top men fast. But it doesn’t mean that they do not have a threat they do have Berahino who is definitely their best player and the only player with a goal threat. The way they like to play is digging their heels in against the top teams but hit on the break with little pace and then score on set pieces. There form of recent has been decent with one loss in their last three. There team will line up like this.

Now with our Manchester United team building confidence in the system with wins against two rugged teams fighting at the bottom of the table. So we must win this game so the players believe more in the system. So the next problem for us is our injury list and defence which at the moment go hand in hand with practically all our defence injured. But i will go out on a limb and say McNair will be in the squad even though it was said he was injured. Now on to our attack we should have enough to unlock West brom defence and more with one plus for us over the break that Falcao is scoring amazing goals like the overhead kick he scored in usa. This is how our team will line up.

My prediction is that United will win 3-1 and that Falcao will score two of the goals.
